Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 15th May 2026.

We at Williamsburg Pitchside are committed to providing an inclusive experience for every guest, both at our Brooklyn property and across our digital presence. This statement explains the steps we have taken — and continue to take — to make our website and accommodations accessible to people with disabilities and to those using assistive technologies.

A thoughtful stay begins long before arrival. From the moment a guest visits our website to the moment they leave the property, every interaction should be considered, dignified, and within reach for people of all abilities. Accessibility is not a feature we add - it is part of how we approach hospitality.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

Williamsburg Pitchside aims to align our website with the **Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA**, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

We do not claim full conformance. We treat accessibility as an ongoing practice and continue to identify and resolve issues as they arise.

This site's contents have been adapted to work with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard use. As part of this effort, we:

  • Use the Wix platform's built-in accessibility features, including semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and assistive-technology compatibility

  • Provide descriptive alternative text for images of the property and its amenities

  • Maintain clear color contrast between text and background elements

  • Structure pages with a logical heading hierarchy for screen-reader navigation

  • Avoid auto-playing media and provide controls where media is used

  • Review the website periodically as we add or update content

  • Welcome and respond to feedback from guests who encounter barriers

Compatibility With Browsers and Assistive Technology

Our website is designed to be compatible with the following:

  • Recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile

  • Common screen readers including VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA, and JAWS

  • Keyboard-only navigation

  • Browser zoom up to 200%

The website may not be fully compatible with legacy browsers or certain niche assistive technologies. If you experience an issue with a specific combination, please let us know.

Known Limitatons

Despite our best efforts, some content on the website may not be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

  • Some embedded third-party content (booking widgets, maps, social embeds) is rendered by external providers and may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We continue to work with vendors to improve this.

  • Photographs in our gallery may have limited descriptive alt text where context is implied visually; we are updating these systematically.

  • Any PDF documents linked from the site may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers.

If you encounter a barrier we have not listed here, we want to hear about it.
